Capacity Building in Fundraising:
A practical workshop with CHOICE for Youth & Sexuality

What is this session?

 

This session will introduce CHOICE’s toolkit resource, which has been developed through interviews with researchers and a global survey where organisations shared their experiences of navigating the donor landscape in the hope of raising funds to support their work in a variety of challenging contexts.  Following an introduction to this toolkit the session will move into a practical workshop where participants will be invited to create funder-oriented items for use in their future activism and advocacy.

 

Who is this session for?

 

This session is aimed at activists, advocates, organisers, and change-makers within the area of LGBTIQ+ Youth. If you are interested in increasing your capacity to understand donor landscapes this is the session for you, we will also be providing a space for discussion with other global participants.

 

What will I gain from joining?

• Participants will have increased capacity and knowledge concerning funding for youth issues, movements, and organisations.

• Participants will have greater knowledge and practical pathways to developing funding strategies.

• Participants will gain insight into the perspectives of funders when confronted with Youth Led Organisations.

• Participants will have increased awareness of the challenges faced by LGBTIQ organisations when seeking funding.
