Call for participants: Queer Youth Dialogues
Updated: Jul 16, 2021
The Queer Youth Dialogues is a 12-month campaign to build a stronger global youth movement for LGBTIQ+ rights, with more resources, support, and power. The events will be held across two streams with four thematic areas of focus [Learn, Share, Plan, and Celebrate]. If you are interested and would like to take part, the process for nomination of participants is now open!
Stream 1 will be focused on advocacy towards UN agencies, member states and the international development community. These high-level civil society focused events will provide insight and opportunities within global civil society activities. Stream 2 events will be focused on creating spaces for civil society. This will be a series of events focusing on capacity building, networking, strategy development, as well as creative, artistic, and celebratory events. Stream 1 events will be open to both participants non-participants, stream 2 will only be available to participants. Stream 2 events will be closed spaces and private engagements with participants.
The Queer Youth Dialogues are co-organised by the Global Queer Youth Network, ILGA World, the United Nations Office of the Secretary-General’s Envoy on Youth, and the United Nations Independent Expert on sexual orientation and gender identity. The Queer Youth Dialogues are supported by members of the Global Queer Youth Network.
